Skyfall

So Skyfall came out in theaters on November 9, the latest in the bond series. Of course being the bond movies, Skyfall is definitely a movie you want to watch. The action scenes are intense and full of suspense. They even added humor, which is an extra bonus. What makes it even better is that it doesn't have a heavy reliance on technology. I have seen movies that make technology look completely ridiculous, and I'm glad Skyfall didn't go in that direction. Daniel Crag plays a good Bond too. He makes those emotional scenes look just that more realistic. I have to tell you, this is a must see movie. I would rather not spoil the movie for you, you have to see it for yourself. 

Taken 2

Taken 2 came out in theaters on October 5. Now I have seen Taken 2 on the opening night, thankfully. The movie does have a lot of action in it, expect the beginning. It was slow at the beginning, and could have been better. Other parts later in the movie just doesn't make sense, like crashing into the American embassy without getting shot at the spot. That just doesn't make any sense. Plus the taxi didn't seem to take much damage to it, even while crashing into a million things. Not to mention, the three guys pointing guns at him just let him talk to his daughter. Why would they let that? I know if I was ever trying to kidnap someone, I wouldn't just let the person talk the his relative saying he is being kidnapped. To me personally, they could have made it a much better movie. The first taken is a great movie, with lots of action and not that slow of a beginning. Plus it is more realistic than the second one. The second one just made me feel a little disappointed that it wasn't as good as the first one. This movie is just about revenge, its not something as awesome as a young teenager being kidnapped in a tour she was taking. The plot revolving around revenge just doesn't sound that appealing to me once I actually think about it. And with the daughter trying to save the dad this time? I just don't like the sound of that, though all she basically did was run and drive a cab. They should have just left with one movie of Taken instead of trying to make a sequel of it. This is a movie I would not want to see again, and I would not recommend seeing this movie.

Resident Evil: Retribution

On September 14, Resident Evil: Retribution comes out. I have not seen it yet, and mostly will not likely see it anytime so, like always. So far though for the reviews, they haven't been looking so good. From what I have read so far, the movie is just basically fighting, like a video game. If you like a movie that is fighting throughout basically the whole movie, then this movie is definitely for you. From what I'm seeing, the plot is not too good either, probably because the movie is all about fighting. I'm still going to see it though, to see if the fighting scenes are as good as they say. Its even in 3D.

The Possession

So The Possession came out in theaters August 31, I believe. Unfortunately for me, I couldn't go see it because of a persistent headache that kept me in bed for three days. Anyways, from the reviews I saw so far, this movie is not a scary kind, but a creepy kind of horror. So I wouldn't expect too many jumpy moments, like paranormal activity or some other horror movies I can't remember for the life of me. The movie also seems to have some funny moments to it. This movie is said that basically the whole film is building up the storyline, and by the time that's done, the film is over....But, even with some bad points, people mention that its a movie worth seeing. It may not be that scary, but its a movie worth watching it seems.

The Apparition

Also, The Apparition came out yesterday too. Again, I have not seen it, and I probably never will. From what the reviews I have seen, it's not a good movie to watch. They say it isn't scary at all and really boring. They also said that the movie did not have a real direction it was going in. A person even said that in the film it explains that the movie is just like a copy of different horror movies. So basically, the reviews scared me away from watching the movie. Premium Rush

So if my dates are correct, Premium Rush came out in theaters yesterday. Unfortunately, I could not go see it since I made my mom poor, unintentionally of course, so I wont be going anywhere for a while. But from the reviews I saw so far, its a decent movie, but could be better. I'm not going into much detail about this movie since I really want to watch the movie myself. Its definitely a different kind of action movie though since the guy is on a bicycle for I don't know how long. Please tell me if it's worth watching. Here is the trailer if anyone wants to watch it.

 

Introduction

Hello Everybody! I'm going to be introducing myself on this post, so don't expect anything too interesting yet. First off, my name is Amy, and I am currently in University High School, in Florida. I always like to see what movies are coming out, especially the action ones, and absolutely love watching the movies when they come out in theaters. The movies I really like are Hunger Games, all the Batman movies, 2012, and all three Narnia movies. Blame my brother for getting me obsessed with Batman, I personally think he kept on playing the movie when I was younger and it somehow got me obsessed. Anyways, I wanted to share the movies that I want to see or has already came out, besides sharing it with my mother who doesn't care. I hope you enjoy this blog.
